Qalypso 2022

Basics Track

The basics track which we’ve created in collaboration with our main sponsor Quantinuum includes a 3 day crash course on quantum computing followed by a 2 day hackathon to put the skills you learned to the test!

What to expect

If you’ve never sent a call to a Cloud Quantum Computer or written out Grover’s Algorithm this track is for you.

We’ll start by making sure you have your basics down in Quantum Mechanics 101. After, we’ll cover most of the standard subroutines in quantum computation in Quantum Algorithms 101.

Having developed some skills we then want you to put them to the test in a two day quantum hackathon sponsored by MITA. Form teams, get creative and come up with your own project or try to solve one of the problems our team have come up with.

Physicists know how to have fun too!

We’ll take the day off on Wednesday and head to the tiny island of Comino for a swim in the Blue Lagoon.

Advanced Track

Targeted towards PhD students, postdocs and junior researchers in the fields of quantum information and quantum thermodynamics, this track aims to arm attendants with the necessary tools to attack problems in the thermodynamics of quantum information processing.
